That was a hell of a gig! Lots of beer and blasting sounds from the Austrian Deathmetal band “Antiproduct” at the “Night of Rock” last weekend. I’ve tried to give some of those pictures a grungy fucked-up look in no time.

Plastic Singularity

Although it wasn’t the city’s first skyscraper, first steel-skeleton building or ever the world’s tallest building — all things that are traditionally associated with the Flatiron Building — it was the first building to become a romantic symbol of New York. The building was designed by Chicago’s Daniel Burnham as a vertical Renaissance palazzo with Beaux-Arts styling.

Setagaya Park is a small park designed as a Japanese garden in the 19th Viennese district Döbling. As Vienna and Tokyo have been partner cities for a long time, Setagaya park was laid out in honor of a Tokyo district that carries the same name. The Chinese Garden in Doelbing was constructed by a native Japanese Professor in landscape gardening – Ken Nakajima.

Hello again, you might wonder what I’ve been doing the whole time since the last post. Well, good news: I’ve finished my portfolio which will contain about 50 (jea fifty) new pictures. That should be enough to excuse my abstinence the last weeks:) I’ll let you know when it’s online, so stay tuned.

Back to the blog, I’m a bit undecided about what you may want to see here. Maybe some portraits, artwork, wedding-shots or something else?

I’m off topic I guess, so what was it I wanted to tell you about the picture? Ah well, this was done in Vienna, Augarten – you can see one of the defence towers that was built during the second world war. I found the picture in my archive at the end of an event-shooting. Don’t know what it did there, but I guess, I went for a walk on my way home and did the shot randomly. Anyway, I hope you like it…

Remember the days when walking through a park to enjoy the sunset? It’s one of my latest works. I created it from a single snapshot that had more potential than I thought at the first glance. I completely removed the sky (masking the wires of the bridge in my hires-version wasn’t that fun) and brushed over the whole picture to focus the details. In the end I adjusted the colors to get the final look. The second version is a halftone reproduction with a punch of contrast but I’m more attached to the b/w version.

Altausseer Lake

The Altausseer Lake is among the most beautiful lakes in the Salzkammergut. It lies at the foot of the Loser Peak in a fantastic mountain landscape. So beautiful that I didn’t have to use photoshop at all.
